True, and a good point. Dependnig on the season however, flights between the lower South America and the US are 70k or 95K, so you don't really make out double. In high season, and assuming you'd have to pay extra points on another airline, 95k is good. In truly low season I have got flights for 35K points with AA, however.

LAN doesn't seem to service WAS however. Anyone know what LAN would do if I tried to book WAS-SCL? (I'm already assuming I have to call in, so a phone number wouldn't hurt either. Their web site really isn't trying to make it easy.)
