Hello Amtrak Experts,

I'm trying to get myself and a bunch of college buddies out to Glenwood Springs, CO from Ann Arbor (3 people) and Milwaukee / Chicago (1 person) at the end of February. I've noticed that the guest rewards for the rooms seem like pretty good deals. My understanding is that these bedrooms include the tickets for everyone who can fit in the room.

My question is as follows: what are the limit in the number of adults in each room? any difference in the family bedroom vs normal bedroom? i know that some of the beds are pretty small, but i'll be travelling with my girlfriend, and i know we can fit in a twin bed, which seems to be roughly the size of the larger of the two beds in either type of bedroom.


my mom has lots of AmEx points which I'm planning on converting to Amtrak points for this trip, so i'm not exactly sort of points, but I'm planning on reimbursing her for them, so i'm hoping to do this for the least number of points possible.

any other thoughts or recommendations would certainly be appreciated!
