Paid F? Alaska will be better as it gets you free access to the Board Room, which is nicer than any RCC. Also, my experience on the West Coast routes is that UA matches AS' F fare but only with an "A" fare, which makes changes much more difficult. I'm not sure which airline would have better in-flight service (in terms of soft product) on that route. FA's are likely to be better on AS.
