I wonder why all those other Australian airports besides Sydney spend that much money! Will they really get the A380 anytime soon? Isn't QF basing them all in SYD?

Not sure if this will have an effect on ticket costs! Airports charge by landing weight and passengers on board. So every ticket sold includes a fee for the airport. Large plane bringing a lot of passengers, the airports bill a lot of fees to the airlines. That way, the earn back the money they invested to handle the A380.
