CO claims that they will match me to their PLAT level which is their top tier and only requires 75K. Since I expect to fly about 150K (and have already booked 3 TA flights on CO for the new year) in 2008, I could maintain Gold on US and PLAT on CO. I figure that now I will be able to upgrade with ease on US and have a better Coach experience on CO. I guess the grass is greener on each side of the line depending on what you are looking for...
You will be much happier on CO. I was matched to Gold on CO, and love their domestic F cabin and cabin service. Thankfully for me, my flights are mostly PHL-IAH, so it was a no brainer for me. The PHL-FLL flights, I'll still fly on US, but if the price and timing is right, I won't mind connecting through IAH with upgrades.
