And I guess a bit OT, is there any reason to prefer the BA (or any other OW lounge in HKG) over the CX lounges?

Its OW perk to allow all OW F/J pax to use any OW class-equiv lounge. So (may I digress) if QANTAS operates out of LHR Terminal1, you could use the BA lounge for First.
However, no reason in HK to go to BA(or any other) lounge unless you simply hate the look of the CX lounges.
