It depends on where you are flying from. From KUL, they let me carry my backpack (with laptop) & my rollaboard but I was traveling in business class. In DXB, sometimes they're pretty strict and make me check-in my rollaboard. Same goes for flights from VIE & LON.
cheers. however as i understand it business class can take two pieces of cabin baggage up to 10 kg anyway.
