Agree up to a point, but HK is nowhere near as bad as Singapore on that front.
The last time I flew back to HKG, the queue was reminiscent of the ones at Kai Tak. I was amazed (and ended up taking the train). Personally I think the length of taxi-queue is about the best economic indicator regarding consumer sentiment there is!
