eBates is running another sign-up and referral promo through Dec. 31. eBates is a rebate site offering cashback on many online retailers, including travel sites such as Orbitz, Expedia, Travelocity, united.com, United Vacations, etc.
Until 12/31/07, they are offering
double the normal sign-up bonus -

Per eBates rules, the initial purchase must be a percentage-rebate purchase, e.g. 2% cashback; the flat-fee rebate purchases, e.g. $2.00 cashback, don't qualify for some reason. The
easiest and
cheapest way to get the sign-up bonus is to purchase iTunes... even a
single song will work. If you're already purchasing something online for the holidays, then you're all set, but otherwise, just buy a song or two from iTunes - you'll still end up in positive territory!
(I'm not sure how we can make the conga work for the extra holiday bonus [the $5 for 2 friends], since that requires TWO referrals... but at the very least, this conga will get you halfway there, and you can just get a non-FT friend/family member to join and get the extra bonus. If anyone has ideas on making the conga work for 2 referrals, feel free to make suggestions!

EDIT: It appears that this offer was targetted only to certain eBates users originally (i.e. only certain existing users could refer people for $10). However, it appears that new users may be automatically eligible for the bonus referral since at least one FTer received the bonus offer despite being a new registrant. Since the conga is intended for new users, hopefully that means it can continue. I did not know about this targeting earlier; my apologies.
