I think it makes sense. Their idea that everything must stay in the ziplocs,despite the fact that people can buy liquids past security is a primitive attempt to make sense of their own rules. It's feeble, but it's a step toward the dawn of consciousness.

When you see angry screeners, it's really an unconscious reaction to the cognitive dissonance. It's hard work trying to make yourself believe all of that nonsense.
