If you really want to catch a deal then buy enough miles for a C award to at least ensure your comfort.

Inventory to HI disappears pretty quick. IF the OP tries this he should buy on the 31st of DEC and 01st of JAN and then hurry up to book this itinerary. And better doublechecks double & triple if the seats he wants are really available, otherwise he might end up in having tons of miles bought for hard cash in the account without any service recieved.
