Curious.
- Dublin Airport Authority website (http://www.dublinairport.com/about-u...t_charges.html) says that there is only one passenger charge, and it is Eur 7.70, replacing separate passenger charge and security charges in March of this year.
- Aer Lingus and Ryanair charge Eur 16.95 as "Passenger Charge" (Source: EI and FR websites)
- BMI charge Eur 7.70 (Source: ITA)
- BA and Lufthansa charge "Passenger Charge" of Eur 11.50, and "Irish Airport Security Charge" of Eur 3.90 (Source:ITA)
My theory is that landing charges and checked baggage screening charges are somehow being worked into the mix. That said, I think a letter to all the above airlines (with the honourable exception of BMI) might be of interest.
