eVIPs are equivalent to mileage upgrades in terms of priority, and can be confirmed at any time if the appropriate inventory is available. In general, this inventory is likely to become available earlier than sticker upgrade inventory.

Most here consider it a waste to use eVIPs on domestic itineraries with the exception of transcons (since most eVIP holders are EXPs, their domestic upgrades usually clear and require no stickers). If yours are expiring, rather that using them on domestic trips, it might be more beneficial for you to go to CC and see if you can enter into a mutually beneficial exchange with someone who has an abundance of miles.
