First on Hawaiian is good. Prefer it to an AA 757 First flight. There is no business class on Hawaiian.
The food is the high point; good menu selection, very well presented and tasty too.
Seats are 2-2-2; old fashion AA 757 First style seats; reasonable recline but would not recommend it for an overnight flight if you are use of BA NCW flat beds.
You get a personal tv device like on EOS for free in First (payment required in Y) which you place on your tray table with a limited selection of movies and tele programmes. There is an art to setting this up while you have a food tray but it can be done. Strange concept is that they insist on taking it back one full hour before landing.
Service is friendly in true Hawaiian culture. Some flight attendants are fuller figured

also reflecting Hawaiian culture.
I have heard comments on long queue for Y check-in. Fine for First.
You get VS miles/points on Hawaiian but not BA ones.
