I knew there was a reason I hang around this place.

Yes, some great suggestions. I'll definitely look into YVR and doing the fly-and-drive. Hadn't thought about either of those!

I did actually consider (for one short, fleeting moment) the HORROR of actually using miles to get there instead of accruing them.

But I may barely make 1P this year as it is.

If worse comes to worse, I'll Hotwire/Priceline the trip and <gasp> get no miles...
