Good point, cordelli, it’s funny how you lose your perspective when you’re on holiday. There’s no way I would venture near a shopping centre (mall) in the UK 6 days before Christmas.
Can I just check that in the States an Outlet Village/Park in the same as the UK? Basically, here they consist of about 50 or more Factory Outlet stores owned by the leading manufacturers like Versace and CK where they sell off last seasons’ stock at about 60 to 75% of the original store price.
Is Jersey Gardens a proper Outlet Village in this sense or more like a normal mall with a few discount stores? Last year, we found the malls in San Francisco more expensive than here in the equivalent stores, but I’ve just paid a bill in dollars and got $2.05 to the pound so it will seem better this time.
Depending on how fast immigration is at EWR it may be too tight to make the bus for Flemington, so Jersey Gardens would be our first choice due to our time constraints.
