I vote no. And here's more than my two cents on the matter: Most I've seen require AC power. Maybe there are battery operated ones, but then they'd die on you fairly quickly I'd imagine.

Either way, it's going to cost electricity to have rotating images off a card (or from a web account over WiFi in some cases). LCD or not, the power draw is not worth yet another electronic gizmo plugged in. I'm an IT sysadmin geek, I have enough junk I use daily already, a photo frame would sit there and not be "used" by me at all.

If you display a single static image - total waste. Print a photo and stick it in a frame.

Oh, and lastly - when you turn the lights out at night, the sucker's a pretty annoying nightlight. Based on those I've seen at friends' homes. YMMV.
