There are really good ones, and there are really crappy ones out there. Whatever you go for, make sure you can see it on in the store, side by side there's a huge difference. We had a phillips, sold by Sharper Image for a couple years till gravity got to it (dropped off a desk) and will replace it probably with the same thing. Loved it.

The things I liked about it from some of the others out there was you had way more selections in how fast the pictures swapped, some are five seconds to one minute, this was up to one an hour or something like one a day, don't remember exactly. You can load pictures onto them, but it's usually easier to just plug a memory card into it.

You will want an AC adapter if it doesn't come with one.

Things like remotes, speakers built in, never saw the reason for that stuff.
