The present VISA cards will be discontinued and replaced with new MasterCards. This exchange is mandatory, because Mies&More is changing their partner bank. Their current plan is to complete the exchange of cards by June 2008. After that, the old VISA cards will no longer be usable.
All credit card data (credit limit etc.) will be transferred to the new cards 1:1. They promise to keep all features of the current VISA (online access, Überweisungsservice

etc.).
The new credit cards will get new CC numbers. Lufthansa will not automatically change it's own etix to the new CC number

You should be able to use these tickets by putting the expired VISA into Quick Checkin machines, or contact LH to change the CC number.
Card owners will be contacted with detailed information and will be able to opt out (which equals to cancelling the credit card altogether).

So replacing the CC No. in used online platforms where its set as default payment.
When LH replace my Visa I can not destroy or send back the card as normally requested- I need it for identifcation and verfication of my online bookings for 2008 .
What happens with money transfer/refunds wher he old Visa No was used?
I have made several online bookings with LH and SQ and TG for 2008 -Some of them I may cancel-what is with the refund when in the meantime the account was closed?I remember getting a refund from TG already

7 month after cancelation!!
