I think it's a bad translation from a German original text. LH does this rather often, especially in their onboard magazine and announcements, and it annoys me to no end.
They're especially bad with the standard Germanisms, like saying "The actual temperature in Cairo is 35 degrees Celsius" (making the assumption that actual has the same meaning as the German
aktuell = current). There are loads of other examples, but they escape me at the moment.
