I'm a little bit confused.

Is the upshot...

You have a paid economy ticket. You can't upgrade because there's no NF availability.

However, there IS *XF* availability. So, you want to purchase a 1st class award with miles..

And use your economy boarding pass so that you can collect miles on the flight, while using your FF ticket in order to sit in first.

Does that accurately represent?
