Fraud??? I'm not sure whats deceptive? Most taxes on an airline ticket are flat rate.

ANC-LAS round trip is a minimum 4 segments this time of year so you're looking at at least

$10 - September 11th Security Fee: $2.50 per U.S. boarding
$18 - Airport passenger facility charges (PFCs): up to $18 roundtrip
$13.60 - Federal Segment Fee: $3.40 per segment (defined as one takeoff and one landing)
$7.50 - U.S. Gateway Fee (Hawaii and Alaska only): $7.50

Thats $49.10 before you even hit the 7.5% US Transportation tax (I think thats what it's called).

For your companion ticket... thats another $3.75 and for the full fare ticket thats $21.18

Compared to what you were quoted, my middle of the night calculations come in about $3 lower on the companion ticket, and about $3 higher for the full fare.
