El Al Israel Airlines Ltd. (TASE: ELAL) today launched a new service: early check-in via its website.
The online check-in can be made between 24 and three hours before departure. The passenger using the service can select his or her preferred seat and provides other details. At the end of the procedure, the passenger receives a print-out of his or her boarding card, including the boarding gate, at their location.

El Al is offering two tracks for its online service. Track A requires no document verification. Track B includes document verification, and is designed for passengers who failed to note all the necessary information during the online check-in procedure.

When the passenger arrives at the airport, he or she undergoes the security check, goes directly to the designated counter for the service, where the airline representative directs the passenger to either Track A or Track B, as needed. After delivering the luggage, the passenger goes to passport control.

Earlier this year, El Al launched a home check-in service.
