Cabo in Winter/Spring
Aloha- we have been to Cabo 6 times in past 10 years, 5 times in late March and once in mid Feb.
Air temp is in 80's daytime, high 60s evenings, very temperate and pleasant- we have only had one day of rain in the 6 weeks we traveled to Cabo and that was in Feb (rained for a half a day).
Water is cooler than Hawaii but much warmer than Northern California!Invigorating is a fair term. Snorkeling is only so so compared to Caribbean and Hawaii. Surfing is good by San Jose del Cabo but not Cabo San Lucas.
If you are planning on ocean swimming in Cabo, be certain you are staying at Medano Beach on the Gulf side and NOT on the Pacific side (Non-swimmable beach over there).
Hilton is in the Corridor - halfway between Cabo San Lucas (where all the nightlife and restaurants are) and San Jose del Cabo (where the airport is). You are in a great golf area but poor for shopping, nightlife, restaurants, people watching. There is a swimmable beach at the Hilton.
You should check out timeshare rentals by owner (MUCH cheaper than hotel prices, like one third of the cost) and more room to spread out, still oceanfront. Check craigslist, redweek.com, tug2.org, myresortnetwork.com for owner direct deals- no 13% hotel tax or 10% service charge!
Have a blast- we'll be there in March!
