I briefly played with one at the Apple store yesterday. My impressions:
(1) I felt the keyboard for alphabet text entry was a bit cumbersome, though nowhere near as bad as typing on my razor phone.
(2) The sound quality (with apple headphones) was much better than I expected, but then again I was raised in the era where walkman cassette players were cutting edge.

(3) Magnifying the web was not as easy as it looks on the commercials.
(4) Lack of separate external volume control was really annoying. Also would be nice to have a "back" button.
Despite these shortcomings, I still thought it was amazing

light years ahead of the competition.
it is nice..still learning how to get around.
I get to use it on a plane this weekend, so I will really test it out. My local computer nerd ios coming over to help with this thing.
But I really like it overall. Technology is great, the toucvh is awesome, but takes getting used to.
I also got confused on the volume control.
