Don't expect too much from QR in J class from Doha to BKK. They are using a crappy plane on this route with crappy seats. The flight this plane is on is the overnight from Doha and its the A340.
Yes, its transiting. It would be a bit difficult to hide a litre bottle each in hand carry so probably not worth it, Im sure they would pick it up.
I've heard about that flight, Im already trying to make sure we get a row 1 or 2 which are 1st class style seats. So much for their 5 star service.
