Had a wonderful change of pace tonight. Flew ORD/SJC tonight on an A319, had a nice meal with linens and glass salt & pepper shakers. Nice sundae for dessert, all in all a nice flight. 20 minutes before landing the wonderful flight attendant comes out of the galley with what appears to be hot towels. Of course it can't be, I'm flying in FC on UA, those things don't exist anymore. But lo and behold, I'm getting a hot towel. Seems like forever since I had one and what a magnificent simple pleasure it is. I had truly forgotten how nice it is to freshen up just before landing, almost makes it worth the price of admission. At times it seemed silly to be complaining about some of the things UA is taking away from domestic FC but tonight is a reminder of how it used to be. The little things are what made all the difference and tonight was a little throw back to great service and pleasurable amenities.
