Now wouldn't be interesting if AC broke away from Star Alliance and formed a pact with KLM/AF/... AC would surely get much more connecting traffic than they currently get from LH. As it is right now AC doesn't need UA so much as it serves much of The US and since AC is starting direct service to SYD and NZ to AKL from YVR... hmmmmmm.
