I can not believe that I am the only one to get this call, but I could not find it in any searches.

I just got a call from AA thanking me for my travel this year. He acknowledged the decent amount of travel that I have had and he stated that they appreciated the business. Then he said that in appreciation, they were going to give me 4 free eVIP's to be in my account within a week. I checked for all of the typical scam angles as it seemed odd. But other than asking if my name was "XXX?" when I answered, he never asked for any other qualifying info.

I have flown a decent amount (at about 165k QPts). I was ExPlat for a few years but missed the last 2 with less travel that kept me at Plat. Hit ExPlat again in April this year. I have not had too many flights with AA over the last couple of months as I have been flying SQ to get better seats in th 77W and status in *A. I figured the extra miles over 150k on AA were not getting me anything so I diversified. He didn't even mention the lack of recent travel compared to the beginning of the year.

Anyone else get the call?
