Champagne in the hold?
First post blah blah...
Would really appreciate any help/advice/experiences
I am travelling tomorrow on holiday and want to take a special bottle of champagne with to cover the eventuality that she says yes at a crucial moment(!). Obviously I can't take it through security, all the post security outlets at Heathrow I have checked don't stock it, and the hotel want to charge me x8 mark-up even to sell it to me to drink in the room.
Has anyone take champagne in the hold? Does it explode? I think the hold will probably be pressurised but what about the low temperature at altitude?
