You must have better luck than I. I am always polite but firm. And I get weird accusations, secondaries, accusations. My favorite was when the screener said to her co-worker, "This lady REFUSES to take off her shoes!" ...I had said, "I am disabled, and cannot remove my shoes." The co-worker she said it to, thankfully, just rolled her eyes and was very nice to me after that incident. But the rudeness is more common than not. Maybe if I was always in a wheelchair and did not look very healthy, it would be different.
