My friend and I took our flight on Sunday from TXL-FRA and had no problem with our carryon bags. We used the kiosk to checkin and went to the Senator lounge for awhile then to the gate where we cleared security. No one even looked at our bags...a few others in the gate area had similar sized bags as well.
