In a recent Globe article about the potential West Jet / Air France interline agreement (see
http://tinyurl.com/36hdm8) the following jumped out at me:
"Some insiders say Air France is gravitating toward WestJet at the same time that it distances itself, where possible, from Air Canada."
Does AC have an existing interline agreement with Air France?
It's been rumoured that WJ would join oneworld at one point or another which I guess won't really be the case - maybe they're looking at doing something similar like Alaska Airlines where you can collect (status?) miles at NWA and BA (Skyteam and Oneworld, respectively).
It would be good to have some competition in Canada. Maybe then we'll get some better P/E/SE benefits in the years to come?
