I have to really disagree with this part of it - I would definitely find it valuable (even though I'm probably less than halfway to 1MM on CO yet). Working in high tech, I end up switching jobs, or at least groups/assignments every couple of years. Whether it's because the new company uses a different preferred carrier, or just that I had a year and a half of very little travel between other positions, either way - it really sucks to start from zero all over again (and again).... Now to have both MM levels, AND soft-landings, so any personal travel during a quiet year still had a halfway decent status, that would be ideal....

Now if I could just figure out a reasonable way for an extra 2K EQM's this year to keep Plat (for international lounge access), since one of my trips fell through (and the wife does not understand mileage runs at all)...
