HNL-SYD - Jetstar/QF/AA and upgrades
I am looking at a one way fare LAX-MEL on AA. As far as I can tell there is nothing in the fare that precludes a stopover in HNL. So HNL-MEL would be via SYD. Mon/WEd/Fri it appears HNL-SYD is a QF flight, while other days (or is it every day) it's a Jetstar flight. IN both cases I believe I will be on the AA codeshare since I will be purchasing an AA fare/ticket.
  • I assume other than having to buy just about everything onboard Jetstar, there is not much difference between Y seats between them and QF?
  • Does Jetstar ever/regularly offer Starclass upgrades at checkin, and if so for how much for HNL-SYD?
  • would any potential check-in upgrade be jeopardised by being on the AA codeshare?
