We had a BA Signature Visa and now just got the no-fee HHonors Signature Visa. The way the credit limit works is like this. You have a maximum revolving credit where you can carry a balance. You can go over this limit but must make the minnimum payment on your revolving credit and anything over that limit must be paid in full. Got it? If you are going to make a huge purchase that exceeds your revolving limit by a bunch then it is a good idea to call them and so they won't deny it.
I found the Signature customer service to be very good when we had the BA card. There is suppose to be a special Signature desk that handles customers. Don't know if this is still in effect though.

I have the Marriott Rewards Visa Signature card from First USA. This is a recent change though. About oh 4 or 5 months ago they changed me to the signature card - something about no more credit limit, although a credit limit number still displays on the statement (haven't figured that out yet). The Card still gives me Silver Elite status at Marriott, although I'd get there through stays anyway.</font>
