In Vegas, you never need "to go looking for an ATM," they are so plentiful that you trip over them. If you use even the smallest bit of common sense, the transaction risk is about zero. Also, if you are such an expert traveler and you're still incurring $5 ATM fees, you really need to re-evaluate your banking relationships.
