I'm sure you'll be fine, if the traffic is good it'll take not much longer than the trip from LHR to Victoria on the tube. From LHR the quickest way is M25 (south), M26, M20 but if you miss the M26 (J5) you can carry on round to the M20 (J3) exit.

I wouldn't describe either roundabout at the Ashford exits as huge but the one at J10 has recently been remodelled but is very well signed.
