The promotion was for every stayed by Visa. There has been a lot of debate about this issue and it might be worth carrying out a search of the forum.

Basically:

Yes its for every stay
Yes call PC people have had points adjustments but T&C do say it will take a while to post.
You can always email PC, yet again some folk have had success from that.
