I'm not sure that you are characterizing yourself accurately, Bliss. You discussed your suite upgrade and fruit and cheese plate at the Sheraton at great length. (I've had the upgrades at the Sheraton Boston, but never fruit and cheese. I guess they like you better than me.) The Sheraton Boston looks much different from a lower floor.

FWIW, a colleague of mine recently ignored my advice to stay at the Westin in favor of the IC and had a fantastic stay at no status. So YMMV.

Interesting to hear that the beds are substandard. While I like a separate shower (not available at the Sheraton or Westin), a good bed is absolutely essential. So no IC Boston for me.
