I (too) frequently fly ATL-PDX, usually on a 75X, and on virtually every flight upgrades don't happen until about 40 minutes before departure. SLC-PDX is often the same. Conversely, if I fly CVG-PDX, upgrade will usually clear five days prior, sometimes seven days.
