I am guessing OP is not based in the States. Mostly likely he doesn't have a Chase Mileage Plus Visa or any US-issued creditcard.

Do you mean "sell to a friend..."? If so, selling your miles is forbidden and in violation of the terms for all the frequent flyer programs, including UA. When the airline finds out, your mileage account shall be closed and award reservations cancelled.
Among all the other things you are interested in, if your miles are not from the Chase MP creditcard (Choice miles/points), you can only redeem your miles for award tickets. As
mahasamatman had pointed out, Mileage Plus miles are dead-ended. There's no way to transfer them out.
