It is annoying ... some GAs actually physically go direct people out of the way ... some GAs just accept it ...

The problem is that the nice guys finish last ... if they wait from a reasonable distance to board in their group they are guaranteed to be among the last to board ... no one wants to be the nice guy in last place so you end up with the familiar static V-formation of bodies funneled toward the gate waiting to board.

Southwest actually has a great system that seems to work well ... 3 or 4 (cant remember which) separate lines (one for each group) ...

I dont know why all airlines dont have some variation of this system ... all it takes is some cheap cordon material ... one line for First one for Biz/elite one for Group 1 ... then let the rest funnel in
