What a great report, this is one of those flights I want to do, and the only thing stopping me is ...well i don't know what is??

I have mastered the seats now, it took me a little while but now I can get very comfortable. I agree the window seats are a trap, and i have no trouble getting the aisle which is far more pleasant.

I, too, have noticed that food service is RAPID, but I recently flew on SQ and QF and it's not just Thai, all the FA's are steaming through their meal services and I wonder if it is some new agreement that's been reached whereas they have this much time to do this chore.

I am in awe of the BKK lounges, and everytime I go I seem to find another one or a part of one I haven't explored. The F lounge is brilliant, as too is the F check in routine, and what bowls me over is the food. I would rather eat there than on the plane.

I digress, but like you I find the food out of Bangkok far superior to the food out of Australia and Europe. Fresher, that's it, the last meal out of Australia I would swear was made weeks before and frozen, then zapped just before it hit my tray. I am surprised that the pre flight drinks didn't include champagne, I do look foward to that, anyway thanks squeeler, i did enjoy it regards bkkrop
