So, after checking in today at a deserted Zone R in T1 for my flight to FRA I move over to the security area.
The queue stretched back to the Travelex desk and only one unit was working. After about 10 minutes I got to the front of the queue and myself and another gentleman were waiting for our bags to come through.
We waited, and waited. After moving back closer the machine...the issue was apparent. All 5, yes 5 staff were discussing their break rota and who should go on a break at what time
This went on until the other guy spoke to the chap "organising" the breaks and asked for a complaint form. To which he turned around grinning and said "not sure where you can get one from"...and then continued to sort the break rota

Eventually they agreed on their break times and normal service resumed. The guy I was waiting with managed to find a supervisor as I headed to the F lounge was giving him what for.
