BTW, is Connecticut gas as exorbitantly expensive as I remember it being, even worse than California, or have they cut back on the taxes a bit?

I'll be staying at the Omni in "downtown" NH. I've spent a lot of time in NH, but have never actually overnighted in a hotel there (it was always either day trips from NYC, or visiting with Yale friends in my younger days).
