There are two buses that run from IAD to Metro. The Washington Flyer Coach service runs every 30 minutes to/from the West Falls Church Metro station. It arrives/departs IAD just outside of Door 4 on the Arrivals Level. The cost is $9 one-way, $16 with an (open) return.

Metrobus 5A leaves about every 40 minutes weekdays and about every 60 minutes weekends/holidays. It arrives/departs IAD from Curb 2E (next to where the car rental shuttles stop). It stops at the Rosslyn Metro station and ends it's run at the L'Enfant Plaza Metro station downtown. Cost is $3 - and exact fare is required on the bus.
