Hi, I have a question regarding Star Alliance code share flights and online seat selection and check-in. I'm flying out of YYZ to ORD an an Air Canada flight (booked through aircanada.com). I'm returning on United Airlines. In the past, if I booked flights like this (eg. Expedia) I'm given locater codes for both airlines. This has allowed me to go to each airlines website and retrieve my reservation, select seats or check-in. For my current flight booking aircanada.com provided me with only one locater code which allows me to maintain the Air Canada flight portion only. United Airlines does not recognize this code or the e-ticket number at all. Does anyone know if it is possible to access the United portion of my reservation or is that impossible with Air Canada bookings. Thanks.
