I always put my contact details both inside and outside the bag, in case the external details have been shorn off. On the inside details, I tend to include all information of both my origin and destination (at least, if I have family/friends at the destination).
I do exactly the same after reading the tip on here - and it was the only reason they reunited me with my bag which was lost for 7 weeks. All 3 labels had fallen off the outside. I put my work address and my mobile number as my contact in the UK.
