I hope this is the right forum for asking this question.

I was planning to travel to St. Petersburg (LED) from Chicago (ORD) via Warsaw (WAW) on LOT Polish airlines (ORD-WAW-LED), primarily because they are significantly cheaper for either economy or business class.

I noticed that the flight I was thinking of booking gets into Warsaw at 10:10, and the flight out of Warsaw leaves at 10:50, leaving me just 40 minutes to change planes, which in my general experience is not very much time.

I'm not familiar with the Warsaw airport at all (size, ease of getting from one end to the other), and I'm wondering if those who are familiar with it think that this is a reasonable amount of time to switch planes?

I won't mind spending the night in Warsaw if I have to (e.g. because of unavoidable delays), but if it seems unlikely I would make it, I would rather fly a different airline and pay more.
